Trustee vacancies

The Hull and East Riding Chess Association is a charity registered with the Charity Commission, and as such is managed by a group of trustees whose job it is to ensure the furtherance of our charitable aims – promotion of the game of chess, and provision of facilities for learning and playing the game. The current group of nine trustees meet as an Executive Committee five times each year, and as individuals take on particular tasks concerning the various aspects of our work as a charity.

If you care about the development of chess in our region, have skills of any sort that you can offer, and would like to give a little time to support our work by becoming a trustee, please contact Graham Chesters or Keith Porteous for an informal chat in the first instance – with no obligation.

Volunteering opportunities

The events below are all aimed at promoting the game of chess in some way. Some are organised by the Hull and East Riding Chess Association, others are managed by other chess groups that HERCA aims to support. Anyone who can help by offering an hour or two on any of these dates would be very welcome – please contact Keith Porteous for further information.
