The Open was won by Artem Lutsko with 5 out of 6. Artem has only just arrived in the country a month or so ago. He is a Ukrainian junior, with a FIDE rating of 2401!
Maksym Larchikov (also a junior from Ukraine, residing in Hull, who managed to beat Artem in the last round) and Gavyn Cooper (Acomb Wm Club) came joint 2nd with 4.5 points.
The performance prize was won by Joe Varley (Hull).
The U1900 was won jointly by Paul May (Alwoodley) and Chris Matthews (East Hull Chess Club) (5 points). Kyle Pelling (junior, Heywood), David Wells (York) and Gerald Cuaresma (Huddersfield) shared 3rd place (4.5 points).
The first performance prize in the U1900 was won by Michael Connor (Great Lever), the 2nd one by Ray Ezra (Hull).
The U1600 was a joint victory for 4 players, 2 of which are juniors: Benedikt Pitel (junior, Hull), Shriaansh Ganti (junior, Wakefield), David Stothard (Hull) and Hussam Al Haidar (Hull) (5 points).
